Meeting Minutes

Hello, and welcome!

The Biomedical Graduate Student Association (BGSA) is a university-affiliated group that represents the graduate students of the School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh. The BGSA:

1. Collaborates with various programs to organize academic and career oriented events such as the annual BGSA symposium, Career Summer Seminar Series and medical writing events

2. Facilitates communication among graduate students, faculty, and administration

3. Fosters interaction among students from across various programs by sponsoring social events such as annual orientation picnic, happy hours, kayak, zoo trips, and Kennywood trips

The BGSA also provides leadership opportunities to those who would like to benefit the student community through the above-mentioned activities. As the President of the BGSA council, I strongly encourage you all to volunteer in organizing events and provide ideas for initiatives. Please feel free to attend our monthly meeting held on first Monday of every month in BST-995 from 1:30-2:30pm. You can also contact your Program Representatives or BGSA officers with queries or suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you at mbt17@pitt.edu.
