Welcome from BGSA

Hello, and welcome to the BGSA Webpage!

The Biomedical Graduate Student’s Association is a University of Pittsburgh-affiliated group composed of the School of Medicine biomedical graduate students. The BGSA is governed by a council of representatives with two goals:

1. To represent the general biomedical graduate student body in and academic and educational issues, and
2. To provide opportunities for graduate students to interact with each other in scientific sessions and a social environment, through sponsorship of social events and academic activities.

As the council is representative of the graduate body, it is dependent on graduate student input, so we encourage you to take an active voice in your education and social activities. We are always open to ideas and suggestions, so feel free to talk to your department representative. Also, our monthly council meetings are held the first Monday of every month in S995 BST from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, and all biomedical graduate students are welcome to attend. Please check with the graduate office for the specific location (412-648-8957).
