Hello, and welcome to the BGSA Webpage!

The Biomedical Graduate Student’s Association is a University of Pittsburgh-affiliated group composed of the School of Medicine biomedical graduate students. The BGSA is governed by a council of representatives with two goals:

1. To represent the general biomedical graduate student body in academic and educational issues, and
2. To provide opportunities for graduate students to interact with each other through sponsorship of social events and academic activities.

As this council represents the School of Medicine graduate body, it is dependent on graduate student input. We encourage you to take an active role in designing and implementing your educational and social activities. Feel free to contact your individual Program Representative or personally attend our monthly council meetings, held the first Monday of every month in 995 BST from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. All biomedical graduate students are welcome to attend, we just ask that you contact one of the officers ahead of time so that we can fully accommodate you.
